You’re already a very capable leader.  But does your team need you to show up as a winsome leader, as well?

What’s a winsome leader?

Not someone:

  • who seeks to be a pal to all

  • who puts on an image to seek admiration

  • sacrifices accountability in order to be liked

Instead, a winsome leader is a capable leader who is engaging, approachable, appealing, and visible.

 To illustrate, a winsome leader:

  • has a temperate, receptive and reflective spirit

  • helps the team remember the “why” of its work, and be motivated by its broader, shared purpose

  • majors in “we,” not “I”

  • has an open door

  • walks around (physically and virtually), checking the pulse and temperature of the team members

  • spots opportunities to improve team culture and acts on those opportunities

The result of winsome leadership:  the team feels very fortunate to have you as its leader, and in response collaborates to provide excellent and timely work products.

What practices will help you grow as a winsome leader?  A coach can help you discover the practices that are effective and natural for you.
